In China, in those cities and places where the artist visited, one could always find many reservoirs, or fountains where carps lived. In China, it is a symbol of wealth and prosperity. Marta enjoys nature and fish, and has always admired Before that, she had never seen such beautiful and big fish. For her it was a special impression of China. 
 
Therefore, she decided to draw them in her own style. When writing the painting , a dot technique was used, thus the relief of the fish scales is visible. 
 
These fish evoke special emotions in the artist, the same emotions she felt while watching live fish. This work carries a sense of mystery. If you look at them, they seem to be alive.
